For Justin Williams, few places have shaped him as profoundly as Napa Valley. Williams grew up in Napa Valley, learning about winegrowing from his uncle and the art of cooking from his mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. At 14, he took his first restaurant job and later enrolled at The Culinary Institute of America, spending his free time staging at The French Laundry.
Williams’ dedication led him to leadership roles within Chef Thomas Keller’s restaurant group (TKRG), becoming General Manager at Bouchon Bistro, Ad Hoc, and later Bouchon Bistro Beverly Hills. He then joined Frasca Hospitality Group in Boulder, CO, overseeing four establishments, including Tavernetta and Sunday Vinyl.
In 2022, Napa called him home. Reuniting with PRESS Restaurant’s Chef Partner Philip Tessier and fellow TKRG alums, Williams became Director of Operations and then Managing Partner, helping to guide the restaurant’s next evolution. Committed to excellence and mentorship, Williams’ goal is clear: “When I retire someday, I hope people will say that I made an impact on their life, that I helped them become a better professional and their dreams.’’
