Tyler Potts, Beverage Director

Tyler Potts’ journey into wine was anything but conventional. Initially pursuing a Ph.D. after earning bachelor’s degrees in History and Philosophy, he took a trip to Napa Valley and decided to stay, working as a harvest intern at Tres Sabores and Spottswoode. From there, Tyler fully immersed himself in the restaurant industry and began taking sommelier exams.⁠

Tyler’s career as a sommelier carried him through Austin, Houston, Denver, Aspen, and New York City. In New York City, he directed the beverage programs at One White Street and Clover Hill, helping both restaurants earn Michelin stars within their first year of operation.⁠

Tyler’s extensive experience in wine and restaurants ultimately led him back to the foundation of his studies of history and philosophy; everyone seeks to be valued and to find community. He sees wine as a powerful tool to bring people together.⁠
